Book of Note: Optical Allusions )

Dave Van Domelen, "Okay, okay, you don't have to be so MARY SUE about it." - Sersi to Amadeus Cho, Chaos War #5 (of 5) (Hey, if there's an Eternal who reads fanfic, it's...well, Sprite. But Sersi's a close second.)

Slim's Scythe. Based on a story I read in Cricket back in grade school, as best as I can remember it. Wish I could remember the title or author. (Not science fiction/fantasy/superhero stuff, more like modern tall tales. Well, it was modern in the 70s.)
Didn't actually make this character, just used a spare costume slot to make the look.
Gastro/Intestinal Dominator? )
(As an aside, I think I managed to restore my machine to "only as bad as it was last night" after the ill-fated experiment with Fan Control.)
No books of note, but I have some comments on the Green Hornet movie. )

Grimstone and Steamhammer both Recommended. Grimstone is a sort of balance of really good and so-so elements, while Steamhammer is fairly consistently good.

Well, all of my older characters are above L14, so it's "okay" to make a new one. :) And with supergroup kinda collapsing tonight due to RL issues, I figured it was a good time to get a new one going.

I mean, can you imagine the powerset?
Best of 2010! A bit late this time, as I was waiting for some books from earlier in the year to be mailed to me by [livejournal.com profile] scavgraphics, whose store Diamond isn't trying to kill. Yet.

It's not pinpoint precision, but it's a lot better now than stock. Still having no success with my scratchbuild experiments, I lack the right kind of foam.

Sara Bellum + Bella Sera + My Little Pony = this. :)
The more I find out about DC Universe Online, the more I think they're Doing It Wrong. But the original premise that lets them have thousands of new heroes running around, that works fine. When setting an MMO in an existing property, you need a reason why there's all these non-canon characters, after all, and "Lex Luthor came back from a horrible future with a bunch of stolen powers he's giving out in an attempt to avert that future" works fine.

How would you set up the MMO premise for Marvel?
Here's my idea.... )
Book of note: Ant-Man and Wasp #3 )

Dave Van Domelen, "A.I.M. is the home of people like us. Hyper-intelligent outcasts with an overriding desire to save the world from the clutches of monkeys whose solution to problems is hitting them with a stick." - Monica Rappaccini, Ant-Man and Wasp #3 (of 3)

Bonus Quote: "I've developed one hundred and fifty-seven methods of keeping you here long enough to hear my offer." - Monica Rappaccini, ibid, demonstrating a dedication to the art of trapping rarely seen outside of Scooby Doo.

I think the hard part will be getting used to having shift on only one side of the keyboard. I tend to delete when trying to capitalize.

GIVE ME YOUR FACE! Or not, really. The Fallen's toy is still pretty bad, even with the new removable face.
