Born in Wisconsin in 1970, left in 1988 for an extended academic tour of the Midwest (Missouri, then Ohio, then Michigan, currently Kansas). Physics PhD, all around geek type. Mainly got a LiveJournal to be able to make comments in friends' LJs, but also ended up putting my weekly comic reviews up too, and the occasional actual post.
