[livejournal.com profile] foomf pointed out that if I cycle between two characters, I can play one while the other rests off any serious debt. Plus, of course, it lets me try multiple powersets, different servers, etc.

So, any recommendations? I do okay with the scrapper, since my usual style of "rush in and cycle through attacks until things fall down" play seems to work pretty well for them. Anything that requires a lot of keeping track of having balls in the air will not be too fun for me, due to information overload issues. And I can certainly play on a different server if someone'd rather game with me there at low levels.

ETA: After spending some time poking at the ParagonWiki, the Ice/Ice Tanker appeals to me. Probably Magic origin.

For heroes: I loved the ability of Tankers to just take the punishment and keep on standing. I'd be tempted by some of the new powersets (shields, most notably), but I had a blast playing an Invuln / Energy Melee Tanker. (And my Fire / Fire tanker was da bomb, but I can't say how good they are in the low levels anymore, since the powerset got nerfed around the time CoV came out.) I also have loads of fun with Trick Arrows / Archery powers, but that's from my love of Hawkeye and Green Arrow, not from them being particularly Uber or not. I didn't like Blasters (too squishy) and haven't played Controllers or non-archery Defenders too much. One of my favorite people to team with was an Illusions / Kinetics Controller and it looked like she was having loads of fun.

For Villains: Brutes and Masterminds rule. My Corrupter just ran out of steam in the high 30s and I couldn't make much progress with him. On the other hand, my Brute and MM blew through lower levels like crazy. Never played a Dominator out of Breakout. I liked the Bots and Thugs archetypes.
