Just saw the Chocolate Cherry Diet Dr Pepper ad on TV...remixed to have regular Diet Dr Pepper instead. So I guess we won't be seeing the liquid Tootsie Rolls again, sigh.
May I introduce you to the world of http://www.torani.com/ and http://www.davincigourmet.com/ ... flavored syrups sweetened with Splenda are available from both.
Well, Dillon's has Torani, but only the sugar syrup versions. However, Target's "Archer Farms" brand has a few Splenda-sweetened syrups, so I grabbed the vanilla and caramel flavors to try out. So far, they seem a bit too mildly flavored, need to use a lot of it to taste. Maybe it'll take less to flavor milk.
Edit: Oooooh yeah. A little bit really sweetens milk up. I guess these are more "sweet" than "flavored", and the sweet part vanishes against the background of Dr Pepper.
I found that the Torani wasn't as strongly flavored as the Da Vinci, but both of them tend to be a little sweeter than I like, and if I want to flavor an already-sweet soft drink like Diet DrPepper I usually use a non-sweetened extract.
I'm being cautious in that there is some evidence that Splenda's sugar-shaped structure triggers the same insulin surge as the real thing, and hence, may increase the insulin-insensitivity side of things.
Oh! That! There might be two places here in Portland where I could find them in the store proper. It's HARD to find extracts in stores - though you can ask and they will order them for you.
Wal-Mart has DaVinci, but no chocolate there either. Unless Kahlua is chocolate. From the bottle shape, I'm guessing that the Archer Farms stuff is relabeled DaVinci.

But very very few carry more than vanilla and hazelnut.

It's much more reasonable to order them online.
