Went to the Ear/Nose/Throat doctor today to get my nosebleed issue taken care of. While I was there, he did a generl ENT check, and found I had a disturbing amount of earwax buildup. Like, half-inch-long plugs of brown and black wax.

Now that those plugs have been wrestled out, I can hear more clearly, but that's something of a mixed blessing, since most of the extra things I'm hearing are cloth rustling, furniture squeaking, etc. Background noise I'd been successfully ignoring with my "earplugs" in. Wheeee. Hope it doesn't keep me from falling asleep tonight.

Yoog. I had that once, when I had the hard Measles. At the age of 19, or was it 20. We thought I'd had them as a kid, but we were mistaken.

Dunno why the measles made my earwax go mad though.

Well, the doctor told me that normally the growth of skin inside the ear carries wax out. Maybe measles, as a Happy Fun Skin-Affecting Disease, messed up that process?

Anyway, the extra sounds aren't as annoying this morning.
