Barricade would very much be a highway pursuit car. The Alabama State Patrol was the first outfit to use cars of that size, back in the 70s (they ran rodded-out AMC Javelins*); based on interviews I've seen/heard with the guys who drove 'em, either they'd call a squad car to pick up and follow them... or just throw the perp in the trunk. :D

True enough, but Barricade mostly pretends to be a squad car, prowling around residential areas. :)
