ASH #72: Metropolis 2 - Human Desire - We all want things, but not everything we want is good for us, and sometimes our desires can lead to the opposite of what we wanted in the first place.
Almost didn't make it out this month. I spent over a week with a combination of a cold and allergies, and I was barely able to keep up with work, much less hobby writing.
Possibly, but keep in mind that a powerful laser will damage glass, despite glass being transparent. It only takes a small percentage of impurities or flaws for a directed energy weapon to dump enough heat into a material to fry it, and I expect a negative index pane would start smoking if a weaponized maser hit it.

Interesting. Perhaps they could be used as anti-maser armour? Even partial protection is better than nothing, I imagine.
