I actually had this idea last year, but only a couple days before Halloween, not enough time to actually do a decent job. So I put together the materials over the next few weeks, then set them aside to work on closer to the next Halloween. Well, it's closer, and I put it all together tonight. Behold, I am (a) Monster Island!

Well, I'm dressed up as Dave Davenport, from Narbonic (reference). I didn't go as myself from the referenced strip, though.
One of the grad students totally outgeeks me, though (but I do have a slight edge in the obscurity category). She made a complete uniform to portray Diana, the alien commander from V (the 80s Marc Singer series, not V for Vendetta).
Shoulda brought my camera today, ah well.
