Still passing on the Leaders for now. Saw the Gravity Bots and will not be getting any. Got the Robot Replicas, Legends, and the FAB Megatron. Returned Voyager Optimus Prime, so net additional expense is about $80.

It deserves at least nominations for Best Picture and Best Screenwriter. It'll probably get Best Animated Picture, though.
I just got all the Scouts, Deluxes and Voyagers, dropping $212 at Walmart. Left the Leaders on the shelf...judging by last time around, there will be some available by the time I'm ready to review them, so I might as well push them onto another credit card cycle. Passed on the FABs for now, may not get any of them, not sure. Prime and Bee look to be redecos anyway. No Legends spotted yet, although I'll get those when I see 'em at $5 price point (i.e. not gonna buy them at K-Mart or Walgreens for $6-7 each). No Gravity Bots either, but I'll probably pass on those.

The Enforcer bits make it nicely Bayformery.
Thanks to the budget cuts going way past the bone, I will not be going to the AAPT conference in Ann Arbor in late July. And I already passed on the January conference for budget reasons. At least I still have a job. :/

ETA: Got her to level 10 the hard way tonight. Went for the Flight pool despite SW being a "natural"...guess all those dips in contaminated water and hanging around weird rays has "naturally" given her the power of flight!

If the Enterprise runs into the Icosians ("A Piece of the Action") in the new continuity, Kirk should have significantly less trouble getting the car to work. Not zero trouble, mind you, but less. And at least he'll know what to call it!

While sitting around in the game store today, the GM of a Dark Heresy game across the room was talking about the "server wenches" rather than "serving wenches," and that got me thinking...has anyone made a T-shirt for female IT people with the logo "Server Wench"? If not, someone probably should. ;)

My only real problem with Terminator: Salvation is that the publicity machine did its damnedest to kneecap the movie. They give away the big plot twist in pretty much every ad, while the movie itself is very careful not to give it away to the viewer until the characters know as well. Also, the publicity machine makes it out that this is a John Connor movie, when he's really just supporting cast. (Oh, and an aside: the 4" scale John Connor figure with the bandana over the face isn't Connor, it's a different character. They musta repurposed it at the last minute to give more Connor toys.)

The original art still exists, and is crap. :) So I drew a new version, with some design tweaks. The basic premise is that he's me, seven years older (so that he was 25 at the time I created him in April 1989) and with powers. His costume is "real clothing", a kick I was on that season. Just a red shirt, black pants and shoes, some wraparound shades and a bandolier to hold his gadgets. The original powerset had him only able to create droplets of solar plasma, which he could throw at people in a pinch, but preferred to use to power his supertech, like the laser torch he's trying to reload while some inconsiderate person is shooting at him. Later on, he figured out how to internalize the power and built a supersuit to give him flight and protection during times he had to power down. I might draw an update of that too, since I don't have any recent pics of it.
