For those of you who don't already know, Lego has a new sentai-inspired mecha line out now, called Exo-Force. Each set has an official alternate model, and some of the sets also combine into larger bots. Anyway, I got a spare of the $5 Sentry set and tried out its official alt.model, the Laser Sentry. Very disappointing. So I set out to make up my own, and took what I hope are enough pics for people to make their own if they want to:

It's a hoverbike with positionable thrusters and hoverpads.

Very solid. The Iron Drone falls off, but I think his feet are defective, he doesn't stay on anything. The "shoulders" are almost identical to the robot mode shoulders, so they move around but don't fall off. And without the guns hanging from them, they're less apt to wobble. The antenna is a little weak in its connection to the post, but again that's not really any more of an issue than any other way of securing it.
