Thanks!

What's the issue with FedEx, though? Aside from mis-deliveries, that's happened to me before...

FedEx sucks for domestic delivery around here. Unless you have someone who can be home during business hours, forget about getting packages through FedEx. They don't have a local depot anymore, so if you want to arrange a pickup it's an hour's drive either way (UPS has a depot in town that's open until 9:30 PM for pickups). They won't leave a box without a signature, period (UPS will do so unless the sender asked for a signature). And they don't deliver outside of business hours because all the drivers have to go back to Topeka at the end of the day (UPS has the sense to do domestic deliveries after 5PM).

Ugh. I knew I had to be around today to receive a fed-ex shipment, but it had an air gun in it, I didn't know signatures were required for EVERYTHING...

I think I'll be ordering through Wal-Mart.

FedEx is attractive to sellers because signatures don't cost extra, and signatures do help cut down on fraud (i.e. people who claim they never got a box and get their credit card to stop payment). But unless you live in a large population center, FedEx is really just for business deliveries. Mind you, I've heard cases where UPS sucks and FedEx doesn't, so a lot has to do with the local depots.
