A while back, I got a spare FAB Arcee for $5 with an eye towards dyeing it. But it wouldn't take dye at room temperature, so I set it aside and largely forgot about it. But then I realized the other day that my new double boiler system might let me do the job safely, and it worked. Most of the pink plastic is painted over gloss black anyway, but the black dye base A) reduces the number of coats needed to look good and B) means no bright pink seams where I have to leave things unpainted for mechanical reasons. I know Nightbird isn't black, having done a few kitbashes of the ninja in the past, but this is Movieverse Nightbird. :)

The sword is an accessory from a cheapo dollar store Gundam knockoff toy. I chromed the blade and then used the same Pledge-diluted metallic purple on the blade that I used on the purple parts of the robot. No, the claw hand doesn't hold the sword very firmly.

All of the cycle pictures are without the robot head. While my double boiler is safer than a single boiler, there was a bit of deformation and the robot head is loose on its joint. REALLY loose. Several layers of nail polish haven't fixed it yet, so I'm adding more. But the head pops off during transformation and is kinda hard to get back in there once the front end is closed.

Very nice, I'm going to have to look into dye myself. I'm considering it for Huffer and the Rallybot drones, though supposedly it may wind up being done for me.

How did you get the faction symbol?

Reprolabels sheet. I got a couple sheets of them about ten years ago and I'm sloooowly using 'em up.
