With this drill I will...be over twenty years early!

The silhouette was drawn on yellow cardstock, which was then cut out around the sunset circle and hillside, and glued onto red cardstock. Black Sharpies used for the black fill. However, my scanner doesn't really see black Sharpie fill as very black (or any saturated black as very black), so I had to tweak the contrast to get it closer to reality. The red in the real thing is a little darker, though.

The original high concept was to do Drill Dasher in a more obvious Gurren Lagann pastiche, with the Gurren skull motif in yellow and red behind the silhouette. I decided to play it a bit straighter, but kept the yellow and red backdrop...sunset and red skies as Drill Dasher bursts forth triumphantly!
