Yes, I know. The Inevitable Female Copy of The Fly. But "fly girls" and "fly honeys" are also an 80s-ism from mainstreamed pseudo-hip-hop culture.

It's from the 1990-94 show "In Living Color". Which, despite being in the 90s, felt somewhat 80s. :) Jennifer Lopez (the J.Lo one) was one of the Fly Girls. "Fly" in general is played out slang for hot or attractive. Before your time, youngster. ;)

But I was born in '79! I blame my grandmother...I know all about pop culture up to Red Skelton...and then I pick it up again with Anime.
