No summer conference for me, sigh

Thanks to the budget cuts going way past the bone, I will not be going to the AAPT conference in Ann Arbor in late July. And I already passed on the January conference for budget reasons. At least I still have a job. :/

I understand perfectly. Due to budget cuts for the teachers here, they don't want to take time off. Problem is, despite being employed, I'm a sub, so if they won't take time off, what can I do?

Luckily I hope to get full-time at one of the community colleges soon, which will help. I know I will likely NOT be going to the NSTA con this year.
