...at work. Some jerks emptied the fire extinguishers all over the fourth and fifth floors of Cardwell Hall overnight some time. Fortunately I didn't need to be at the office this morning, since it was cordoned off while the police checked things out and then while maint cleaned up. It was reportedly hard to breathe for a while. (ETA: the vandals also trashed the vending machines in the basement, whee.)

Oh, and we got a few inches of snow, too. After I shoveled my car out, I took a few seconds and shoveled out the plow-pile behind a neighbor's car too. Snow was still fluffy, so it was essentially no trouble. And my fingers were already frozen by that point anyway.

Now to get some work done and kill time until the salters and sanders get the roads into safe condition, since I was fishtailing all over the place on the way into work....

I've honestly never figured out what the appeal is to empty fire extinguishers. I've had to do it many times for a good REASON and there's no thrill there at all, so it's beyond me how they could see it as recreational. Probably, alcohol was involved and you're about to loose some students.

It makes a huge mess. THAT is the appeal. This was vandalism, not discharging the extinguishers simply because doing so is fun.
