I keep expecting to hear something like, "Ooh, Varitek just shifted to Gerwalk mode. That'll shrink his strike zone significantly!" "Right you are, and his baserunning speed will go up. But it's a bit clumsy on the swing."

Back when I worked for a minor-league team, my co-workers and I were always making fun of players' names. Like every time this one guy named Clevelen was up at bat, we'd launch into a whole series of "Family Guy" character impressions.
