I'm wondering what happened to the buffalo (http://www.plumleeranch.com) across from the airport.

Buffalo are immensely tough. They have been known to ignore .36 bullets shot at point-blank range at their skulls. They evolved on the prairies where this kind of thing is relatively common; I would expect them to be mostly unhurt, maybe bruised. Maybe a few calves killed.
