Today I found out about a diabetes symptom I'm really glad I never got. Sugar boils. The body expelling excess sugar into the skin, with results about as unpleasant looking as you might imagine. And no, I'm not going to link in pictures.
Yeah, but that's one that pretty much everyone hears about. Same with blindness. They don't talk so much about sugar boils, which apparently can happen relatively early in the progression of the disease with some people.
I hadn't heard of this one. However, I have a weird eczema that is apparently a variation on that - the skin gets very dry and itchy and becomes subject to tiny blisters like unto sun poisoning (which I also get) and it wasn't going away at all until I got my sugars to live below 150.
