Unity is a government-built zombie, and Mustachio is a Victorian steampunk bot (a "thinkorium") whose limbs have since been confiscated. Both from Skin Horse, a webcomic about helping the creations of mad science find new lives for themselves. (The "Skin Horse" name is taken from the Velveteen Rabbit.)
I spliced the arms of a cop onto the body of an Ultimate X-Men Marvel Girl from my bin of Heroclix, and used Apoxie Sculpt to make a jacket over the somewhat mismatched shoulders. Painted with various acrylics, but the stitches and the right eyeball drawn on with a brown fine point marker. Her base is a piece of styrene I-beam with one part carved off. I suppose it's a J beam now.
I took the forearms and lower legs from an Incinerator Golem (Mage Knight, something I've not played in even longer than Heroclix). The front panel, shoulders and smoke cloud are Apoxie Sculpt. The arms are pieces of copper wire (which I painted copper to better match the rest of the body). The head is totally scratchbuilt from bits of styrene tube and sheet, with some Apoxie Sculpt for the headband. The legs are styrene tube bits, deliberately made different lengths to show how they have a piston action (the leg he's standing on is compressed more). The winding key is also styrene bits carved together. The base is just a Warhammer figure base with the gap filled in using Apoxie Sculpt.
