Yes, I've got that Freefall strip up on my office door. It has some errors in it, which is why I didn't link it into my explanation.

And the Coriolis force on Discworld would work pretty much like in my 2-D case example, especially if the gravity well is centered far enough below the disc that "up" stays perpendicular to the disc all the way to the edge. If the center is fairly close to the disc, then it behaves like a bowl, with it feeling like a trudge uphill to approach the edge.

Of course, the possibility of things going off the edge means Discworld needs some other mechanism to avoid air loss, and that mechanism's gonna have a significant effect on weather all by itself.
