For some reason, I was having to take a road test to get my driver's license moved over to Kansas (this is not the case in reality, you just show a valid license from somewhere else, pay a fee and get a new picture taken), and despite some potentially reckless driving I'd passed. But I overshot my turn to go back (home? to the DMV? not sure) and ended up on a winding dirt road that I was sure would connect back up to the road I wanted eventually, even though it was seeming less and less likely as I entered wholly unfamiliar terrain in what was SUPPOSED TO be an area a few blocks from my apartment. I was also getting that "vision cutting in and out" effect that sometimes happens when I'm on the verge of waking up.

So, after a few spinouts and near accidents (the DMV guy had, thankfully but mysteriously, vanished by this point) I pulled into a parking lot from a grassy field (the road had sort of petered out) just as I saw fire engine lights coming from the other direction. I pulled into a parking spot and got out to see what was up, and briefly talked to some official-looking people who seemed to have things well in hand, but I never did find out what those things were. I turned around to find my car being towed, and one of the official guys chased after the tow truck to explain that I was about to leave and didn't need a tow. I belatedly thought to trigger my car alarm to get the driver's attention, but he was already out of range behind a building.

The guys I had been with (who suddenly appeared, but I acted like they'd been riding with me in the car) asked why I'd been towed, and I conjectured that this was a private lot, but since we'd come in from the wrong side I hadn't seen the signs. I started to come awake at this point, and was panicking that my car really HAD been towed...then I realized that since the guys I was talking to were the members of Dethklok, this clearly was a dream.

Brutal.
