This morning, I finally heard "Sailing" clearly enough to realize he's not incongruously singing about "the Kansas can-do miracle", but rather "the canvas can do miracles". Granted, not as weird as my old mis-hear of "Summer of '69" where "standing on her mother's porch" sounded to me like "standing on her mother's corpse" (which gives the song a WHOLE new meaning).

I feel funny, but I don't know why. 'Scuse me while I kiss this guy.

Heck, it was only this year that I found out a line in the second verse of "Safety Dance" was actually "... And surprise 'em with our vic'try cry." I spent the last 20-odd years wondering what a "big chakai" (sp) was.
