No, not a novella. I finished typing up the notes I took at the AAPT meeting in Greensboro last month. With diagrams and stuff, it came to 66 pages, single spaced. Woot. I'll link to 'em next week, after I get the time to proofread 'em and make a PDF.

The sheer volume of typing you do on a daily basis is exceptionally high. Do you ever experience pain in your wrists? I used to have frequent RSI pains until I remapped my keyboards from Qwerty to Dvorak (retraining myself took about ten days). Now I can hit 90WPM for short bursts if I'm just transcribing.

But 29,190 words of notes for one conference is insane. :) Do you use some form of shorthand?

During the late 90s I needed wrist braces, but I eventually got over it. It helped to improve my other ergonomics (gel wristrests, proper height of stuff, etc). I can generally go 60WPM when composing or otherwise not having to copy from another source.

The original handwritten notes are longhand, 79 pages. But the amount of content easily doubles when I expand it out to the typed version. They're shorthand in the sense of "need to fill in the gaps from memory." And I DID need to put the wristbrace on while taking the handwritten notes.
