Coherent Super Stories featuring Dragonfly #1: Taking Flight: A new "reprint" series set in the earlier ages of the ASH Universe. This arc is set in the Second Heroic Age, introducing Dragonfly and Ladyhawke, and how their careers and fates are intertwined with that of the mad robot Antiochus V!

It's a different flavour, that's for sure. More ... earnest, less self-knowing. I suppose that's the point.

Exactly. I did not want to go into this with the view that characters would be self-aware about the nature of their world. No, "Sure, it seems silly looking back, but we really thought that" sort of meta-story. He's looking back, yes, but from still inside the times (1976 looking back at 1971). So while he can and will comment on how life changed, none of it will seem retro to him, there will be no attempts at hip archness.

Neither modern nor post-modern. I'm shooting for grabbing the feel of the era as best as I can within the constraints of my own style.
