I was watching "Black Blizzard" on the History Channel, and they're showing off a half-dead town that barely made it through the Dust Bowl. Businesses that shut their doors in the 1930s and never re-opened, their roofs long since caved in and their boarded up windows fallen open.

With modern handicapped parking signs out front, at the government-mandated positions. For businesses that haven't been in business for over seventy years.

Not only will the government beat a dead horse, it'll continue to regulate the carcass....

Two nostalgia-heavy shows (at least for most of you reading this) hit DVD this week. The first 32 episodes of Silverhawks (expect it to be about $30 most places) and the entire series of the 1970s SF spoof Quark (about $15).
