...an excuse to go home early. A substation caught fire overnight, and the campus no longer has enough power to run the chiller plant (which provides AC for most of the buildings on campus, including mine). And if demand gets too high (some older buildings have window AC units, plus just general use and fans) they may have to shut off power for all of campus entirely. Which I hope doesn't happen while I'm teaching! On the plus side, the lecture hall's been way TOO AC'ed all summer, maybe it'll be comfortable today. :) Now, time to dig out my fan....
Edit: Or...maybe not, on the fan. Magnetic field leakage from it is making my monitor image wobble. Didn't used to do that.
