I tipped the scale at exactly 100kg today, woot. I wasn't paying attention to it, but that means I also dropped into triple digits in Newtons a couple weeks ago. (Disclaimer: due to local variations in the acceleration of gravity, I may be slightly above or below 100kg, as the scale simply converts poundage into kilogram equivalents.)

I thought Newtons were measurements of work done.

Are you weighing yourself based on horsepower?

Newtons are force. Watts are work. A Newton is a kilogram times one meter per second squared. So, to get your weight in Newtons, multiply your mass in kilograms by the local acceleration of gravity, usually around 9.8 m/s^2.
