I got my order from Lego's online store last night (well, my neighbor accepted the package, then left for the night, but I got it this morning), the first four 2007 Lego Exo-Force figures. And well worth it!

General overview, 8100 - Cyclone Defender, 8101 - Claw Crusher.

Gonna leave the Blade Titan and Sky Guardian for later in the week.

Nice reviews, Dave. The bigger mechs look a bit spindly from the pictures I've seen online, but the smaller ones looked nice.

I'm still irked that there hasn't been an affordable set with Ha-ya-to yet...I like his face (he actually looks like he's having fun--the other guys go from grim to pissed) and the designs of his mechs, but not so much that I'm willing to drop $30 to $50 for 'em.

I think HaYaTo is supposed to be in one of the 5900-series minisets, but it doesn't look like we'll be seeing those. :/ And now that Brickbay has died, it's not so easy to go see if someone's selling any (eBay doesn't seem to have any at the moment).

Brickbay isn't really shut down, you know...they had to change their name to Bricklink, but they're still around. And they have plenty of Ha-ya-tos for sale in the $2.50-$3.00 range, which ain't bad.

Of course, that doesn't help in getting him something to drive. Maybe I can cobble something together out of the loose brick bin.

Thanks! The squatter at brickbay.com didn't clearly link to bricklink. Sadly, the cheapest 5900-series set is $12 plus shipping from Germany. Promo only, sigh.

Also, I found that Knights Kingdom figures make decent frameworks for mechs.
