Teen can echolocate without technological assistance. From CBS News. Kid lost both eyes to cancer at age 3, and at 6 he noticed that if he clicked his tongue he could kinda tell where the sound was bouncing. After years of practice and a mom who refused to cut him any slack because he was blind, he can now get around well enough with echolocation that he can rollerblade, compete in martial arts, and make his way around school without help. He even has good enough hand-ear coordination that he can throw a pillow at someone with a reasonable chance of hitting them. :)
