Happy birthday to me. Too bad the weather's not cooperating...it's gonna be well over 100F again today, making any outings more trouble than they'd be worth. Probably gonna go right home after work and stay in my apartment until it starts to cool down a little, then go out for dinner and maybe a little shopping.

So when do you officially start waving kids off your lawn with your cane?

From: [identity profile] dvandom.livejournal.com

Well, I live on the second floor of an apartment building, so it's not really my lawn. I was prepared to wave fireworks-firing rednecks off my parking lot the other week, though, but none showed up (thankfully).

And it's a swordcane, so I can do more than wave, dagnabbit.

If you came at me with those goggles and a sword cane, I would definitely get off your lawn.

That's an awesome mental image, Gabe. Especially with you screaming "Run away!"

Woo! Good think cake and ice cream are soft...you don't have to worry about those pesky dentures getting in the way...

Happy birthday. Remember, turning 36 beats not doing so.

Nice subject line :) I feel that way myself sometimes.

Happy Birthday! May all of the new transformers toys magically appear in your local store!

From: [identity profile] dvandom.livejournal.com

A whole bunch appeared last Tuesday, so I decided that the gift card from my parents will have fungibly have been spent on BWX Megatron and C.Unicron, even though it didn't show up in the mail until Thursday. :)

Hippo Birdy!

Two days later than mine. Do you have to replace your drivers license? I did. My new picture is fugly and looks too much like me.

Too bad you don't have a Todai or other eat-free-birthday place, although most of them require a fully paid meal by another member of the same dinner party.

Licenses last 6 years in Kansas, so I've got another couple years before I need to renew, presuming I'm even still here then.

I ended up eating dinner at Arby's (hey, I like Arby's, and decided "Screw 'special,' I want comfort food") and then going across the street to Baskin Robbins for dessert. Just enough food to feel full without stuffing myself.

Then I went shopping, and among boring groceries and stuff I got a new Transformer (Quickmix) and one of the new Bionical Toa with light-up weapon.

I first saw "Bionical Toa" as "Botanical Tea" and wondered why it needed a light-up weapon.

Of course, it should be Bionicle anyway. But that would be one heck of a tea.
