But they can give you a LOVELY assortment of flu-like symptoms as your body's immune system goes into overdrive fighting off the dead virus bits. Headache and congestion started around lunch, and by mid-afternoon I was getting random pains all over, and was light-sensitive to the point that the glare off the wet road was physically painful. Joy. I'd better not get any fucking flu this year.

Hmm, I didn't have any of those reactions to the shot. Just a fair amount of pain in my arm, and my arthritis was acting up then anyway, so that surely contributed to it.

However, I have this every single day :\ One of the reasons I'll never get a driver's licence.

To make sure none of us at work missed any days due to flu, the management decided to give us all free flu shots. Maybe they should have given us "Flue Prevention" shots as most people at work took sick days soon after for flu-like symptoms.

Huh. They changed the flu shot recently, so far fewer people get "flu shot fever". For instance, I haven't had problems the last two years since the change (we're forced to ge them every fall).

Maybe you're just weird.

Fewer is not none, sadly. OTOH, I didn't have any injection site issues like Lia. And it was pretty much just a lost afternoon.

I work at a hospital, so we get all kinds of free stuff like that.
