Due in stores today: final volume of the 90s Batman cartoon, second volume of Superman, season two volume one of Gargoyles, volume 2 of Clone Wars, and a token live action in the form of the Fantastic Four movie. Not to mention I ordered some BGC2040 from ADV's online sale last night (sale's over now, else I'd link). Tonight I'd better watch some MST3K and clear out my to-be-watched stack....
Edit: I decided to order BTAS, STAS and Gargoyles online. Saves a few bucks, and by the time they arrive I should be done with FF and Clone Wars. :)

* Yes, I got the set so I could see what the fuss was about Carnage in C-Minor.

Oooh, BGC2040

Re: Oooh, BGC2040
The original BGC was one of the first subbed anime I watched all of, after Dirty Pair (of which I snagged a lot during a previous ADV sale). I also saw the first three BGCrash, but nothing after that. One of my favorite tapes in college was the Konya Wa Hurricane album.

Just don't expect the series to be anything like the original; it's a "re-imagining" with new character designs (sadly done in the AIC mid-90s house style; Sylia looks like Ifrita from El-Hazard, Maki looks like Tenchi Masaki) and a harder soundtrack (still good, but not on par with the original IMO)

Re: Oooh, BGC2040
My understanding of the original series was, I think, permanently warped by the fact that I first watched it without any translation at all, and the second time through it was with a wide-carriage band-printer printout of a horrific literal translation in my lap. I still don't really know what the hell was going on most of the time, and I've since watched the official sub a couple of times. :)

Carnage in C-Minor was lame. Even if the animation had been GOOD, it'd still have sucked. The plot was just bad.
Thundercats... I don't remember liking the show when I was a kid. Though I also hated GI Joe(come on! 2 armies shooting at each other and nothing gets hit!). TFs had some good points and was one of the better but still had some odd momemts. Real Ghostbusters was kinda the pinnacle... then NBC picked it up, forced changed, VAs were fired, and JMS quit, leaving us with some horrid episodes.
Not as if the 90s didn't have their share of lame... "Stunt Dawgs"? I odn't even know if it was widely seen, but it was crap. We pretty much NEEDED Timm's Batman.
