Stakeout is pretty bad, Crankcase is pretty good. Fortunately, I got Stakeout for $10 on Black Friday (well, Saturday), so I don't feel particularly ripped off.

I wonder if Crankcase would work well with the mad-max drones?

Form-wise, definitely. I've had Huffer wearing them for a while now. They're a bit too light to go with Crankcase, though.

I was just contemplating repainting some of them, a Huffer mini-con, and use Crankcase as the core. Of course, I don't have ANY of those toys, so it was all hypothetical so far.

As much as I don't much care for it as a standalone, Darkray's green plastic would go better with Crankcase's lightpiping than Caliburst would.

Maybe, especially if I can find it on sale. The destructicons were a good base but if I wanted to make my own non-homaged post-apocalyptic-wasteland team, their core needs some work.
