So was the real P-38's. I once attended a lecture by a guy who worked for the old Lockheed Skunk Works, and he told a story where one of his co-workers leaned his arm on the first prototype's horizontal stabilizer, and tipped the airplane back off of its nose gear. They moved the rear gear back so that wouldn't happen again....
