Hey DVD, I wonder if you might offer some info as a current CoH player. I'm going to try CoH a bit for the free weekend coming up. I have a 49 scrapper I'll probably try to get to 50. I'm familiar with content like FBZ, Peregrine Island, and a little bit with the Greek "going-back-in-time" stuff. Do you have any suggestions for specific content I should try? In case it matters, I typically don't have more than an hour at a time or so, which has made it tricky (though not impossible) to do TFs.
I haven't explored the high end content blueside a lot, in part because my first 50 I just sort of rammed through the final levels with whatever pickup group I could find, and my other hero 50 did most of the final push on supergroup taskforces.
That said, if you're just looking to level rather than seeing the sights, hanging around Peregrine Island with your "looking for any" flag set (and occasionally broadcasting LFT) will generally get you on enough Archvillain badgehunt groups to level up. A lot of people plan do go for the Praetorian badge this weekend anyway, and they're always looking for more meat shie...er, teammates.
BTW, free server transfers are in effect through the weekend, if your 49 isn't on Virtue or Freedom, you might want to move it there at least temporarily in order to increase your odds.
Finally, I still have a leftover City of Villains box set code (from buying several boxes at Odd Lots before discovering you can only use one box code per account), if you haven't used that one yet I can give you a "returning player" referral and then email you the code, so you get a whole month free and I get a free month for referral. :)
Oh nice, I think they must have extended the free transfer thing - I want to say originally it expired in February. I'll probably move one or more to Virtue (some time ago I moved from Liberty to Virtue as my main server).

Oh, right, I remember trying it. And they extended server transfers to the 7th, but I'm getting the feeling that they might be winding up to just eliminating server transfer fees altogether and just make it something you can do N times a week for free. NCSoft is more interested in making customers happy than Cryptic was, after all, and they've slowly been chipping away all the "MMOs should be hard work" underpinnings that Cryptic brings to their games.
