OM chided me on RAC.dc.universe about posting something that none of the "kids here" would get...after there had already been several followups from people who did get it. ;)
Suicide Squid was just barely before my time on usenet, in that by 96 or so when I started to read comics "seriously" and participate there, he was already kind of starting to fade from public consciousness but still popped up with reasonable regularity. Seeing it referenced again after all these years is kind of a kick.
