I goofed and made the piece wider than my scanner plate, which means that even with some cropping there's shadow effects at the edges where the paper isn't flat against the glass.

My attempt at contrast adjustment on the larger scan via Photoshop

Discovered I have an oval selection tool, so I could do some more aggressive cropping and then used fills to get this version:

It's servicable. The edge around Cytheria needs to be traced around by hand with the pen tool to fix the pixelated look and the splash around Shadow's hand needs to be traced in, but looks good otherwise. Though I suspect part of it is the JPEG artifacts messing with things.

The left side of her chest is covered by bare minimum threads from her vest about to come undone. This is disturbingly in-character for her.

Yeah, a fuzz tool of some sort would be nice...I might even have access to one, but don't know how to use it. :) And the actual vest part of the vest does just barely cover the FCC-unapproved part...the laces are still taut at the moment.

I had to actually check it with the initial base pencil sketch you sent me. The vest seems to make her upper torso look thinner than it really is. It appears a bit baggy when it's actually pulled up to her body tight.

She wouldn't have such a concern if the "Princess Sally" rule applied, but that rule only seems to apply to Princess Sally. And the guys, I guess, who all seem to have similar anatony to that of a duck in that regard.

I am unfamiliar with Princess Sally, but it sounds like something that K-girls also have, more or less. Sometimes K-girls need clothing to cover up naughty bits (but don't necessarily have clothes on), sometimes they can be unclothed without being NSFW. For instance, when I drew Kame-ko (http://www.dvandom.com/drawings/kame-ko.JPG), it was in the "doesn't need clothing" mode. But Gilly (http://www.dvandom.com/drawings/gilly.JPG) has strategic foam that implies she would need clothes if the wind picked up.

Sally is the SatAM cartoon character that Sega doesn't own, eventually adopted by Archie as a "Sonic's girlfriend" type. She only wore blue boots in season 1, then they gave her a blue vest but it doesn't even wrap around enough to cover anything.

Sega chose to dress their females in full clothes(probably necessary for Rouge as she lacks body fur) and even then, it seems all the other Archie females need fur, so the "I can walk around without pants" rule only applies to the guys and Princess Sally.

Then there's the "my gloves are glued on" rule, which applies to all Sega characters but not Archie/SatAM characters.

Okay, another try at image manip. This time I did all the cleanup at 250DPI and then shrank it down.

It is an improvement though I plan to stick to my own edit for my personal site. The white background blends better with the story page I posted it to. Looks good though.

Oh, and check your email. I sent you a reply about 4:30 PM but never got a message back so either my end isn't sending or your end didn't get. I sent a duplicate either way.
