Not sure I'll do much with this one, but I figured I should give Super Speed another shot since the only other character I have Speed pool on is generally unsatisfying for other reasons. But it does give me another option on Pinnacle, where I'm in an active SG.

If you really want super-speed, I would at a minimum take Combat Jumping from the Leaping power pool, if not the full-on super-leap. As a long-time Flash junkie, I love the power, but there are too many places, especially at high levels, where the lack of vertical movement is just too much of a pain.

Well, I do have the Jump Pack for any vertical moves I absolutely have to make. Combat jumping fits the theme of the character, though, and thanks to the Regen pool I don't need to bother with Fitness to try to get Stamina. :)

Oh, that's right. I remember now. I didn't buy Superleap - I used the Jump Pack. But Combat Jumping is nice on general purposes, especially if your defensive set doesn't provide any status protection.

I don't take Combat Jumping. However, because the "hasten" from Super Speed forces you to either LIVE with no endurance as it eats your END just before it goes down, sorta like your own personal Carnie dying in your pants pocket, and perma-hasten is even worse ...
You end up almost HAVING to take fitness pool, especially if you have a high-endurance-cost power like Martial Arts or Dark Melee. You can 3-slot Hurdle for jump and that plus super speed is pretty darn good. Combat Jumping has a different advantage: you can triple-slot it for defense and triple-slot it for jump height, and you get a really nice boost. If you do NOT need the fitness pool, then you might STILL want to take Acrobatics, a knockdown-reducing power.

Thank you for reminding me why I don't play CoH; I am an obsessive background minmaxer, so much so that occasionally my attempts to cobble together a perfect build actually interfere with my life and daily activities. I'm best not even knowing what the hell any of this is about.

I'm guessing this was meant to be a reply to Foomf. :) FWIW, I took Flurry instead of Hasten anyway. I am amused that he alternates between yellow-white glowy multipunches (Flurry) and shadowy multipunches (Dark Maul). When I16 comes, I may color-tweak them to be the same or at least look related.
