It's bad when I recall Rally-Nox getting a more positive review than this. And that toy could have been better built had you started with a pile of credit card plastic.

I was going to try to pick up a Jetfire for $35 at Wal-Mart now, but I think I'll pass even if it does have a very large SR-71 mode. I'd still never be able to justify getting it's partner, assuming I find mega-clearance.

Rallnox is pretty crappy, but it was a buck and not trying too hard. Leader RotF Prime tries too hard and fails even worse. They should have scrapped it and gone for a simpler design...it's not like Hasbro is unaware of their QC issues.

If it helps, the toaster's not bad. Arm-poppy, but makes up for it in sheer what-were-the-designers-thinking-ness. That might be a good one to look at next.

I think it was Hasbro's way of saying, "THIS is why we don't make movie-accurate toys, b****es!"

At a $35 sale price, I'm tempted to buy Jetfire. Unfortunately, it'll have to be in stock tomorrow when I go shopping or I'll miss out. It was on walmart.com earlier today but has now mysteriously vanished from their listings.
