Batman: the Brave and the Bold. Started tonight. Going for a 1950s "giant typewriter" sort of look and feel, with a Batman who has a wry sense of humor and a long history of crimefighting. Mixes in the satellite-era JLA, modern Blue Beetle, etc. Works surprisingly well.
"The Scarab must have chosen a new owner after the previous one was killed. (pause) Or. Um. Retired."
Well, I'm willing to forgive some of the shorthand used in Jaime's characterization. They needed one of the two to be a total rookie, and since he's not going to be in every episode they needed some shortcuts. I'm just glad they got Paco right. :)
Except Paco didn't know Jaime was BB. I dunno - I'm a purist and the painting of Jaime as a stereotypical teenager who gets a big head easy annoyed me a lot.
But if I saw this when I was a kid I'd have loved it.
Well, Jaime needs a confidant who knows his secret. In a solo book, that comes from people like Paco. But since Batman can fill the role here and there's limited time to bring in supporting cast, it makes sense.
It didn't blow my doors off, but I'm around at least for the short term. It felt downright ODD to see the pre-O'Neill Green Arrow, though. (Especially since I'd just spent a couple of hours playing Ratchet and Clank, which stars GA's voice actor in a quite different role).
I'm especially looking forward to Guy Gardner and the Atom (since the proto in Toyfare has a big yellow belt and Bangstick, indicating it's probably Ryan).
I'll have to Youtube or bittorrent it unless CN posts it online. I never watched enough TV to justify the costs of satellite service- $40 isn't worth the 3 shows I watch a week.

Is it true that if you hear Batman say "Old Chum" you loose your soul?

Is this a comic or a cartoon, and what channel is it?
And of course, loved Moore's Dark Knight.
