Okay, got it working now. The problem I had was that the circled joint below wouldn't straighten...I had to exert "break it off" levels of force to get it to go, which is why I hadn't tried it before.

Ah, yeah, that can be a tough one to get in the right position. MY problem joint was the one right below it.
