As usual, the online April Foolery far exceeds the Sturgeon Number in terms of the percentage of crap. However, every so often, you get one that's so clever it may backfire...because the gag idea is better than the site's usual fare. :) Seriously, there's no way the real BotCon comic this year will be more interesting than the gag pages they "leaked" today (last night, the final page didn't have "April Fool's" on it).

Trent and Sipher worked on it. It's delicious and honestly I think the real comic is going to be full of fail.

What's funny is all the people bitching about the G2 style of the art corniness of the story, blah blah blah, WHAT APRIL FOOLS?? YOU MEAN THAT'S NOT THE REAL COMIC THAT WAS AWESOME!!!

Sadly, I realized as soon as I saw it that it was an April Fool's gag, so I couldn't express an honest opinion about it untainted by that knowledge. But, I think my track record on the BW Sourcebook art appreciation is sufficient evidence that I would have liked it, goofy as it was, as a "serious" effort.

I actually bought in, and was super excited for it. I can dig Don on art duties this year, but dammmit, those leaked pages just looked so fun.
