AKA Transformers Universe Classics. They're reviving Universe as a "looking back at Transformer history" line instead of a "cheesy recolors" line, and TFU: Classics will focus on realistic altmodes (as opposed to Classics 1, which had stuff like Jetfire and Grimlock in it).

Given that I have a Universe page and a Classics page on my TF site, this is gonna make things annoying for me. Might just go with Universe II or something. Probably will leave TFU Classics in with Classics 1 for the time being, though.

They are pretty darn awesome. Can't wait for my club magazine to show up so I can see the colors...

Ok, I'm actually impressed! Prowl and Octane/Tankorr work quite well as deluxes. I suppose this means that Onslaught as a combiner torso is out, though I supposed someone will attach Alternators Swindle and Movie Brawl to make...a very lopsided Onslaught on stilts.

How is Powerglide (heavily modified A-10) any more realistic than Jetfire (a modified VF-1S, yes, but that in turn being heavily influenced by the F-14)?

What about Classics Bumblebee/Cliffjumper, Optimus Prime/Ultra Magnus, Mirage, or tank Megatron? They were each reasonably realistic without being any specific model of real vehicle. Do you feel the vehicles Tankor(Octane) turns into are any more realistic than the ones Astrotrain does?

What about Classics 1.0 Starscream/Thundercracker/Skywarp? Or Classics Hotrod? Hotrod! He was more the Nissan Dome Zero in Classics than his original G1 release.

And weren't Grimlock and Jetfire both second wave Clasics anyhow? How do we know comparable fantastical stuff isn't in the works for Classics 2.1?

Just sayin', is all.
