Space in the Animated series is all swirly blue and pink, you see. You may notice some changes from the earlier design sketches, they're mainly accidental (got carried away with the yellow markers). But it looks okay as it ended up.

Animated style doesn't have black lines on facet borders, just on part outlines, so I couldn't ink in all the lines like I usually do. I tried to find a fine point gray marker to ink those lines (coloring over pencils results in the pencils not erasing properly...solvent in the markers makes some of the graphite sink into the page), but no go. I ended up using a dead ballpoint as a stylus to scribe the lines, which also drove a little bit of the pencil lead into the page so I got the desired faded gray lines.
