To judge from the two differently-behaving electric clocks in my apartment, shortly after I left for the office we had an outage of about a half hour. Whee. This augurs ill for the snowstorm tonight....
Oh, man...good luck. I have no idea what your religious leanings are but please don't be offended if I keep you and your area in my prayers regardless. And I'm very glad you're off the insulin now...I have some relatives who are in the path of this mess who aren't, I'm hoping the oral stuff will be adequate, just in case. One is going to stay in a motel that has its own generator.
