Now that I have a non-defective Megatron, I had a spare one with no backpiece, so I decided to make it into Galvatron. Taking inspiration from G1 Galvatron, I wanted some sort of weird back thingy and an arm cannon, and after going through all my parts bins I settled on part of a She-Spawn sword for the backfin and a Rotary AC/5 from a Mechwarrior figure for the cannon. The only putty used was to fill in the gap around the backfin and a little crackfilling around the cannon. Basecoat of violet, drybrushing of metallic purple. The pinkish purple is a mix of lavender, purple and some pearl. A bit of sky blue also used on the fade to tip on the backfin, and a special metallic orange mix on the eyes and cannon highlights. Cannon is otherwise bronze with tin bitz shadows.

Very cute. Very psychotic. *Very* scary. I worry about you sometimes, Dave.

(And I love the gun you chose...gives him look a little more like his own character and less like just another repainted Megatron.)

Sadly, this style and color scheme could have saved the toy, if they'd just had the wings fold better and have a real cannon to homage with.
