Using acetone to remove the paint tended to leave the plastic a bit lumpy, but my polishing wheel tends to leave a dull surface, so I went back and forth a bit and then used a glaze paint to smooth things out. The USB rifle still works as a flashdrive, I used one of those M-Gear connectors from a few years ago as the grip/hardpoints.

Unfortunately, there's a rubbing point on the back of the head, so the paint got stripped a little during transformation. It wasn't a place that needed paint, though, so it looks okay with the patch gone.

Yours turned out better then my Bumblebee. I gave him a repainted minicon and a GI-Joe rifle with a modified handle...

Not bad. Love the flash drive rifle. I'll have to post pics of my Cliffjumper and Bumbleebee. I didn't remold Cliffy's head, but I found was of displaying both of them in both vehicle and robot modes that makes them look like different yet similar characters without making any significant alterations to the toys themselves.

Oops, sorry, the anonymous one was me, I forgot to log in.

Here's the pictures I referenced, just links so as not to clog up your page:

You can see what I mean, I didn't change Bumblebee himself at all, though I did manage to make his gun fit in the cab. Looks sort of anemic, though. Yours is better.
