Test-drove the V6 version of the Fusion today. It has more power than the i4, but not quite as much as my Buick Regal. I took down its VIN and the VIN of a 3 Wagon in dark blue that just got onto the lot, and will go bother my insurance agent with them some time next week to mess around with adjusting my coverage to see if there's noticeable savings possible without excessive sacrifice.
Oh, and that $130,000 GT? First, the total sales cost is closer to $220,00 after all the add-ons to the sticker price. Second, around here you can actually insure it for only $300 a month. If you own several other cars and your own home. And if those other cars are fairly cheap to insure. And you're married with kids. And if the kids aren't allowed to even look at the car. :)
