Today I went to see Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow. But this short entry isn't about the movie.
No, it's about the fact that an idiot behind me thought it would be acceptable to listen to the football game on his earphones while sitting in a movie theater. I nearly had to physically remove the damn thing to get him to stop. His friends were even saying things like, "Dude, do you think people can't HEAR that?" before I got irritated enough to turn around and start berating him (it took more than one 'turn around and berate' to get him to stop).
Sigh. You'd think the ticket-taker would've noticed his headphones and pointed out the basics of courtesy, but maybe the theater employee couldn't believe someone would be such an asshat as to actually turn the things on while in the theater.
